Your Questions, Answered.
Chiropractors commonly help with musculoskeletal issues, especially things like back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint stiffness, and injury-related pain.
At Freedom Chiropractic, the conditions you’ll see us focus on include back pain (upper, mid, lower), neck pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, arthritis pain, disc injuries, whiplash, sports injuries, pinched nerves, TMJ (jaw pain), vertigo, shoulder or hip pain, and more.
For many people, chiropractic adjustments are considered safe when performed by a trained, licensed professional. Serious complications are rare, but they can happen.
The main risk people ask about is neck manipulation and the (rare) possibility of a cervical artery dissection, which can lead to stroke. It is also true that these artery tears can occur with other sudden neck movements (sports, whiplash, severe coughing/vomiting), and there is ongoing debate about cause vs association.
Yes. Freedom Chiropractic accepts a number of insurance plans, including Priority Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, Aetna, UMR, Cigna, and Cofinity.
Most people feel little to no pain during an adjustment. You may feel pressure, and sometimes you’ll hear a pop or crack (that sound isn’t bones grinding, it’s gas releasing from the joint). It’s also normal to feel mild soreness after, kind of like post-workout soreness, and it usually fades within a day or so.
Also worth noting: Freedom uses Torque Release Technique (instrument adjusting), which many patients find gentler than traditional manual adjustments.
It depends on what’s going on and what your goals are. Some people come in for short-term relief, others are dealing with longer-term patterns and need more structured care.
Freedom’s process is designed to answer this clearly: the first visit includes a consultation, Insight Scans, X-rays, and treatment. Then on Day 2, they review findings, go over X-rays/scans, and map out a care plan with you.
